Swish Fibre Ltd has announced initial roll-out plans to bring coverage of their 10Gbps full-fibre network to eleven locations across the M4 corridor and Chiltern line. With the ink barely dry on this week's acquisition by Fern Trading Limited, including GBP 250 million of investment over the next few years, the alternative network provider is moving at pace to provide world-class full-fibre broadband coverage across the Home Counties. The full list of initial locations announced include Marlow; Gerrards Cross; Beaconsfield; Flackwell Heath; Wooburn Green and Bourne End; Hazlemere; Great Missenden; Thame; Chinnor; Princes Risborough; and Haddenham. These areas will be the first customers to benefit from a 10Gbps Swish Fibre network – the fastest broadband network in the UK.

True to the alternative network provider’s name, rapid progress is already underway in some of these areas, including Marlow, where the network design and initial ‘rodding and roping’ work is already complete. Network designs and Civil Engineering planning is well underway, and work will commence as part of a structured programme agreed initially with Buckinghamshire County Council.

With Swish Fibre committed to helping boost the nation’s coverage levels from 34th position to number one in the world rankings, further towns within commutable distance of London will be announced later in 2020.
