While the DoT has sought INR 147,000 crores from Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea Ltd and other telecom companies after the Supreme Court's ruling on revenues that need to be taken into consideration for payment of government dues, its demand notices on non-telecom companies now total to about 313,000 crores. The DoT has meanwhile made it clear that the AGR order will apply to all licences, including companies such as GAIL, RailTel and PowerGrid etc

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd - INR 15,019 crore
GAIL - INR 172,655 crore
PGCIL – INR 125,000 crore

Non-telcos, such as ISPs, had argued that the DoT has unnecessarily imposed the order on ISPs, many of which are run by entrepreneurs in smaller cities and towns.
